Heading into a higher-level math or science class? Your success depends on a rock-solid algebra foundation. This is your refresher.

Skill 1: The Order of Operations. PEMDAS is not a suggestion. Refresh it until it's automatic.

Skill 2: Integer & Fraction Arithmetic. Any hesitation here will kill you in higher-level courses. Get it perfect.

Skill 3: Flawless Variable Manipulation. Can you solve any linear equation for any variable, quickly and accurately?

Skill 4: The Laws of Exponents. These are absolutely crucial for calculus and physics. Review them now.

Skill 5: Factoring. You must be able to factor trinomials in your sleep. It's the key to everything else.

Skill 6: Solving Quadratic Equations. Know how to do it by factoring AND with the Quadratic Formula.

Skill 7: Functions. Do you understand what a function is, what domain and range are, and how to use f(x) notation?

Do not assume you 'remember enough.' Be humble. Go back and practice the fundamentals.
