3. Systems of Equations: Know how to solve by graphing, substitution, AND elimination. This is a major topic.

4. The Rules of Exponents: These rules are crucial for the next topic...

5. Polynomial Operations: Adding, subtracting, and especially multiplying polynomials (FOIL).

6. Factoring: This is the BIG one. If you can't factor a trinomial quickly and accurately, you are in trouble.

7. Solving Quadratic Equations: By factoring and by using the Quadratic Formula. This is guaranteed to be a huge part of the test.

These 7 areas are the 'big rocks.' They represent the majority of the points on any comprehensive algebra final.
