1. Acknowledge and Name It. Say it out loud: 'I am feeling anxious about this math problem.' Naming the fear reduces its power.

2. Control Your Breathing. When you feel the panic rising, take 3 slow, deep breaths. This calms your nervous system.

3. Change Your Self-Talk. Replace 'I'm so bad at this' with 'This is hard, but I am capable of learning it.'

4. Start with a Win. Before you tackle a hard assignment, do one or two very easy problems that you KNOW you can solve. Build confidence.

5. Focus on Process, Not Performance. Your goal is not to get a perfect score. Your goal is to follow the process for 15 minutes.

6. Master the Foundation. Anxiety often stems from a shaky foundation. Go back and master the basics until they are effortless.

7. Separate Your Worth from Your Work. A bad grade on a math test does not make you a bad or stupid person. It's just a data point.

8. Talk About It. Let your teacher, a tutor, or a parent know that you struggle with anxiety. This can help them support you better.
